Mohammed Siraj fought like a warrior with the rest of the Indian bowlers throughout the Test series against England as the series finished 2-2. India won the fifth Test by six runs as England for once, faltered in a chase against India.
Needing 35 more runs to win on day five, India picked up the remaining four wickets in the first hour of the final day and won the Test match by six runs. It was a dramatic finish as tensions were high in both fans in anticipation of a close finish and it turned out exactly the same way.
Siraj took three out of the final four wickets to fall on the fifth day, including the final wicket of Gus Atkinson to send the Indian team into frenzy. No one gave Team India a chance at stumps on day four and they turned the Test match around on day five.

In hindsight, England were seemingly frustrated as bad light stopped play on day 4 and the Test match went into the fifth day in the process. The break worked in India’s favour, not so much in England’s favour.
Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh, who did not get to make his much-deserved Test debut in the England series, was seen having an interaction with Mohammed Siraj after the end of the Test match. As it turned out he was teaching Siraj to make Instagram reels after the pacer put his body on the line for the team.
In a video shared by BCCI’s official Twitter handle, Arshdeep was showing Siraj how to make Instagram reels. It was indeed a funny moment between the two pacers as Siraj did pull out something different from his hat as he nailed the act showed by Arshdeep.
Arshdeep told Siraj to say the popular catchphrase, “Pressure? What pressure?” - The phrase was popularised by former England footballer Allan Shearer during the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.
“Should I upload a Instagram Story or Post?” asked Siraj after enacting the same. “Abbey Reel seedha. Do second ki (Make an Instagram Reel of two seconds)” said Arshdeep in response. “Sab sikhaana padta hai bowling ko chhod ke (Other than bowling, have to teach him everything)” he further added saying.

Siraj Took 23 Wickets In The Series
Siraj ended the Test series with 23 wickets and in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah rose to the occasion and led the bowling attack. He bowled 1113 balls and was the only bowler in the entire series to bowl over 1000 deliveries.
“To be honest, it feels amazing. We wanted to fight hard from Day 1 and to see this result is great. The plan was to keep it simple and hit one spot. When I woke up today I believed that I could do it. And when I woke up in the morning, I went to Google and found an emoji of believe. I put it on my wallpaper and said that I will do it,” Siraj said after the match.
