Rajasthan Royals ended their first innings with a score of 173/3 on a tricky pitch, thanks to a fifty from Yashasvi Jaiswal and a strong finish from Dhruv Jurel.
Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal came out to bat after RCB opted to bowl first at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Bhuvneshwar Kumar took the new ball and started tightly, conceding just 5 runs in his opening over without generating any swing. Surprisingly, Yash Dayal was asked to bowl the second over, and despite some nice bounce on the pitch, he only conceded 7 runs, ending with a boundary.

RCB's bowlers continued to apply pressure, with Sanju Samson struggling while Jaiswal managed to hit at least one four in each over. The breakthrough came in the fifth over when Jaiswal smashed a six and a four off Yash Dayal, marking a significant moment in the powerplay with 12 runs added. Josh Hazelwood bowled the final over of the powerplay and conceded just 9 runs, leaving Rajasthan Royals at 46/0.
Krunal Pandya bowled next and immediately made an impact by taking the crucial wicket of Sanju Samson, who scored 15 runs from 19 balls before being stumped by Jithesh Sharma after stepping down the track.
Riyan Parag joined Jaiswal, and together they built a strong partnership, both batters consistently finding boundaries. RCB continued utilizing spin, with Suyash Sharma being introduced. Although his bowling created opportunities, they were not capitalized on. By the end of 10 overs, Rajasthan Royals were well-positioned at 77/1.
Yashasvi Jaiswal reached his second fifty of the season and his third in Jaipur, slowly building his innings while playing an anchor role. The pair added 56 runs in 39 balls before Yash Dayal struck again, dismissing the well-set Riyan Parag for 30 runs off 22 balls, caught by Virat Kohli. Dhruv Jurel then joined Jaiswal in the middle, and by the end of the 15th over, Rajasthan Royals were at 114/2, aiming for a strong finish.
In the death overs, Josh Hazelwood started strong but was greeted by a boundary and a six from Jaiswal. However, he eventually got the last laugh by dismissing Jaiswal for 75 runs off 47 balls, LBW.
Suyash Sharma returned for the last over, and Jurel took advantage, hitting a six and scoring 11 runs in the 17th over. With three overs remaining, Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer formed a formidable partnership. Bhuvneshwar Kumar came back to bowl and restricted the scoring to just 10 runs in his over, with Rajasthan scoring 147/3 with two overs left.
Dayal returned to finish his spell, but Jurel welcomed him with a four and a six, energizing the crowd in Jaipur. Despite some tight bowling from Dayal towards the end of the over, he conceded 15 runs.
In the final over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar started well with tight lines and wide yorkers, dismissing Hetmyer. Nevertheless, Rajasthan Royals managed to score two boundaries and finished their innings at 173/3 in 20 overs.

This surface has proven challenging for batters, with the ball not coming onto the bat nicely, which could benefit the Royals in the bowling department. If they can take early wickets with the new ball, this score should suffice for the home team to secure two points in this match. RCB delivered a commendable bowling performance, limiting Rajasthan to just three wickets. Last time Virat Kohli played here, he scored a century, and an exciting chase awaits. Stay tuned for the highlights of the second innings.
