Vaibhav Suryavanshi enters the record book as the 15-year-old smashed 9 sixes in the 3rd Youth ODI against England, helping India chase down the target in a rain-interrupted match.

Vaibhav's Record Day Out!

Vaibhav scored 86 off just 31 balls while chasing a target of 268 in 35 overs. His knock was explosive yet skillful, as the teenager proved unstoppable against England’s youth bowlers, who struggled under pressure. The teenager broke the long-standing record of Mandeep Singh, who had hit 8 sixes, and now holds the record for the most sixes by a U19 Indian player in an ODI.

The match started with a rain break, which reduced it to 40 overs per side. England batted well, with captain Thomas scoring an unbeaten 76 from 44 balls and Ben Dawkins adding a steady 62 from 61 deliveries, helping the home team put up a strong total of 268/6.

He got good support from Kanishk Chauhan and R.S. Ambrish, who added an important 75-run partnership to help India chase the target in 34 overs and win by 4 wickets.
